Russian politician: Turkey must answer for Armenian Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 24, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) Vladimir Zhirinovsky participated in “Armenian Genocide - crime against humanity” rally, condemning the mass destruction of Armenians in 1915.

According to LDPR press service, every year Armenian community of Moscow gathers at Krasnopresnenskaya Zastava Square to commemorate the Armenian Genocide victims. In his speech Zhirinovsky dubbed the 1915 genocide as the darkest page in Armenian history.

“Fertile lands cultivated by diligent people were needed. Of course, they could be taken from Armenians. They used World War I to mastermind the crime,” he said, stressing the need to take legal action to force the Turkish government into assuming responsibility.

“You can always count on LDPR support. Long Live Armenia and Armenians!,” LDPR head said.
