Setting up of monument to Atatürk banned in Buenos Aires

PanARMENIAN.Net - A year and a half ago a permission was granted for putting up Kemal Atatürk’s bust in one of the central squares of Buenos Aires, General Director of Institutional Relations of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Claudio Avruj said.

Diana Ter- Karapetian, chief editor of Buenos Aires-based Sardarapat Newspaper noted that Armenian community plays a significant role in the capital city’s life, thus ruling out setting up of a monument to a Genocide perpetrator in the central square of the city.
