JUBILEE OF FAMOUS ARMENIAN COMPOSER ARAM KHACHATURIAN CELEBRATED IN ISRAEL

PanARMENIAN.Net - The celebrations dedicated to Aram Khachaturian's 100-th birthday came to end in the Israeli city of Petakh Tikva. The works of the great composer were performed by Israeli orchestras directed by Vahagn Papian, the tutor of the Music Academy under the Tel Aviv University. As reported by Armenpress agency, Israel's Ambassador to Armenia Rivka Cohen as well as Armenia's Ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatian, whose son - violinist Sergey Smbatian - performed some of Khachaturian's works, arrived in Israel on this occasion.
