PACE RAPPORTEUR GOT "EXHAUSTIVE" INFORMATION ON ARMENIAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT MUCH-TALKED-OF VERDICT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Irzhi Yaskernya and Chairman of the Constitutional Court (CC) of Armenia Gagik Harutyunian today discussed the development of the internal political situation in the republic after the presidential election in Armenia. As I. Yaskernya told journalists after the meeting, his interlocutor provided "exhausting" information on the CC much-talked-of verdict of April 23 concerning "the referendum on vote of confidence to the President of Armenia." In the Rapporteur's words, the course of reforms being held in the judicial system of Armenia was also discussed. It should be noted that the PACE June Session will hear the preliminary report on the situation in Armenia, prepared by the Assembly Monitoring Group, chaired by I. Yaskernya.
