ARMENIA ASSUMED CHAIR OF SOUTH CAUCASIAN INTERPARLIAMENTARY INITIATIVE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Since July 1 Armenia assumed the chair of the South Caucasian Interparliamentary Initiative for half a year. It was stated by Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Tigran Torosian when speaking of the results of the second sitting of the Interparliamentary Initiative, held in Sofia July 1-4 with the participation of deputies from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. In his words, integration into Europe will be the main topic of discussions in the coming period. T. Torosian reported that representatives of the South Caucasian countries, as well as the Central and Eastern Europe will present their experience of Euro-integration at an interparliamentary conference, planned to be held in October. The venue of holding the conference is not determined yet.
