CIS States Institute chief: Putin may pay state visit to Armenia Sept. 7

PanARMENIAN.Net - The director of CIS States Institute said Russian President Vladimir Putin may pay a state visit to Armenia on September 7, Battle of Borodino day.

However, as Konstantin Zatulin told a news conference in Yerevan, the date, though symbolic, was not wisely chosen, as the President might have to visit ceremonial events at Borodino field.

Nevertheless, Zatulin expressed confidence over Putin’s visit to Armenia, also stressing long-time ties between Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Putin.
