Yerevan to host British Queen's Official Birthday celebration![]() June 13, 2012 - 20:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 15, 7 pm, Cafesjian Center for the Arts will host a celebration of British Queen's Birthday. Every year, British Embassy Yerevan celebrates Queen's Official Birthday. This year, the celebration marks Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, with Norayr Makaryan to be the event’s honorary guest, as the only Armenian among 1200 soviet sailors on board of Sverdlov cruiser to have saluted the young queen. The celebration will feature screenings of archive films about Elizabeth II’s coronation and the navy march. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
