Yerevan Mayor meets with outgoing German envoy![]() June 19, 2012 - 17:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with German ambassador to Armenia Hans-Jochen Schmidt upon completion of his diplomatic mission in the country. The mayor expressed gratitude to the diplomat for contribution to the development of Armenian-German ties. “Hopefully, Yerevan Municipality will further effectively cooperate with the embassy,” Mayor Margaryan said, wishing the envoy good luck in his carrier. Hans-Jochen Schmidt, in turn, hailed the reforms implemented by the mayor's office. The two men further discussed issues related to Armenia’s social and economic development program in the framework of Germany’s cooperation with the mayor's office ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
