Yerevan to host Hayk Melikyan’s "1900+" piano music concert seriesJune 27, 2012 - 14:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 28, Yerevan’s Komitas Chamber Music Hall will host Hayk Melikyan’s "1900+" World Piano Music Concerts Series of the 20th Century and Contemporary Music. At the concert, Armenian pianist will feature works of modern Swiss composers as well as 20th century compositions. Hayk Melikyan was born on November 29, 1980 in Yerevan. Laureate of many international piano competitions, he is widely known as one of the best performers of 20th century and contemporary music. Hayk Melikyan is the first performer of many composers' works of this period in Armenia, such as I. Xenakis, P. Dusapin, W. Rihm, S. Sciarrino, G. Kurtag, L. Andriessen, L. Nono, E.
