Paper: RPA member thinks Artsakh recognition premature

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Galust Sahakyan believes that the moment for recognizing the Nagorno Karabakh Republic has not come yet, Aravot paper reports.

“We know that Nagorno Karabakh is ours anyway, however the current political situation is not advantageous to solve such problems,” Sahakyan said.

According to him, such issues suppose consultations with the political majority and opposition.

“We act in the framework of OSCE Minsk Group, and this format, which has been developed for years, is acceptable for us. We would not like to change any of the existing concepts,” the paper quoted Sahakyan as saying.
