“Hangover” helmer to direct “Trust Your Eyes” thriller September 27, 2012 - 17:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Hangover's Todd Phillips has signed on to direct Trust Your Eyes. He will reteam with Warner Bros on his first thriller, Digital Spy reported citing Variety. Phillips's Green Hat Films won the bidding war for the adaptation of Linwood Barclay's novel, with the studio apparently supporting his move into a new genre. The director has a first look deal with the studio. Described as a cross between Rear Window and Rain Man, the novel centres around a schizophrenic man obsessed with maps who witnesses a murder in Manhattan. He enlists his policeman brother to help investigate, which sees the pair cross paths with a crooked ex-cop and his lethal henchwoman. Phillips is currently directing the third and final instalment of his top-grossing Hangover franchise. He is lined up to work on The Mule and a remake of The Gambler next.
