Oskanian case should be discussed in Armenia, not PACE – RPA rep.

PanARMENIAN.Net - The head of the ruing Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary group commented on Prosperous Armenia’s submitting the party member Vartan Oskanian case to PACE consideration.

“Oskanian’s loss of deputy immunity should be discussed at Armenia’s National Assembly,” Galust Sahakyan stated at a parliamentary briefing.

As he noted, with Prosperous Armenia’s boycotting the parliament debate, the main burden was laid on Oskanian’s shoulders

“The issues of Prosperous Armenia and Oskanian can hardly be a priority on PACE agenda to be resolved any time soon; rather, Prosperous Armenia’s step aims at damaging Armenia’s international image.

On October 2, Armenian National Assembly resolved to strip Prosperous Armenia member, former Foreign Minister Oskanian of deputy immunity with 64 votes for, 6 against and 1 invalid, following two-day discussions over Civilitas Foundation fund misuse charges.
