KOCHARIAN: I NEVER SEPARATED MYSELF FROM ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - "All of us will benefit if we really consider Karabakh an inseparable part of Armenia." Armenian President Robert Kocharian stated it in the course of today's meeting with students and professors of the Faculty of Economics of Yerevan State University, when asked a question on the negative attitude of the residents of Armenia to those of Karabakh, specifically to officials of Karabakh origin and the bad attitude of Karabakh people themselves to Armenian servicemen. Answering the first part of the question the President said that an impression that is formed that the issue tends towards mitigation. "As of the attitude of Karabakh people to Armenian servicemen, there is no such an issue in Karabakh," the President noted. In his words, anecdotes even appeared lately and when an issue becoming surrounded by anecdotes evidences mitigation. "As of the question, which of our officials are Karabakh by origin: Serge Sargsian, whose blood is half from Karabakh, half from Zangezur. Karabakh people are not especially represented in the state system, except for the President," Mr. Kocharian noted, adding that one should not forget about the availability of the Karabakh issue. At the same time he noted that he considers himself equally coming from Armenia "I never separated myself from Armenia. And it was me, who authored the decision of December 1, 1989," Robert Kocharian reminded. As of the question of attitude towards people from "other territories", this issue is available in other countries, too, the President noted, Arminfo news agency reported.
