Tensions high between ANC reps. over Prosperous Armenia party – paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to 168 Zham daily, tensions between the head of Armenian National Congress (ANC) parliamentary group and ANC member, Haykakan Zhamanak daily editor-in-chief Nikol Pashinyan escalated over differences on their stance on Prosperous Armenia party.

“Pashinyan rules out a possibility of cooperating with the party seeing it as a part of the ruling authorities. Zurabyan, however, took sides with Prosperous Armenia, also meaning to support the party’s candidate at presidential election.

Disagrements between the MPs have even led to a skirmish, with Pashinyan making it clear that should ANC leader refuse to participate in the elections, Pashinyan himself will announce his candidacy, factually depriving the political coalition of the chance to support the Prosperous Armenia candidate,” the daily said.
