3 Turkish ops reported killed in PKK clashes October 20, 2012 - 12:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Three members of a Turkish special ops unit were killed in clashes with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the southeastern province of Hakkari late on Friday, Oct 19, Today's Zaman reported. A statement from the Hakkari Governor’s Office said a special ops unit launched an operation in the village of Kırıkdağ in pursuit of the rebels upon a tip-off. The PKK group set an ambush for the unit and the ops were killed in the fighting.   Top stories Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million). The bill, published on Monday, is designed to "eliminate the shortcomings of an unreasonably broad interpretation of the key concept of "compatriot". The earthquake caused a temporary blackout, damaged many buildings and closed a number of rural roads.
