Gyumri Mayor refuses to cover his predecessor’s debts – paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Zhamanak daily, current Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan seeks to invite independent auditors to probe into expenditures made by his predecessor Vardan Ghukasyan.

The issue will be put on vote at the oncoming City Council session.

“Balasasyan inherited enormous debts from the ex-Mayor, which he has no intention to cover,” the paper said.

As a City Council member told Zhamanak, the Council will most probably vote for the decision.
