Zhoghovurd daily reports reshuffle in Armenian Police

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Zhoghovurd daily, the head of Ijevan Police Department Stepan Melkonyan was fired from his post over illegal deforestation in Tavush province, discovered during an inspection by the Armenian Police Department for Struggle against Organized Crime.

Artur Yeganyan, formerly an official in the Department, will replace Melkonyan on his post.

Time will show if being an Ijevan native will help the new Police chief with his work, the daily said.
