Armenia, Lebanon discuss creation of joint Chamber of Commerce

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati in Beirut.

At the meeting, the parties focused on economic cooperation, noting the product turnover between the two countries as still unsatisfactory.

In this context, the parties stressed the necessity to intensify activities of an Armenian-Lebanese intergovernmental committee which may stimulate product turnover, growth of investments, and closer business relations.

The parties noted agriculture, tourism, and high-tech among the most prospective sectors for cooperation, with an idea of creation of a joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed, presidential press service reported.
