Iran’s East Azerbaijan province ready to invest in ArmeniaNovember 28, 2012 - 16:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Governors of Iranian province of East Azerbaijan and Armenian province of Armavir discussed cooperation prospects on Nov 27. Governor General of East Azerbaijan Ahmad Alireza-beygi expressed willingness to share economic development trends with Armenian side. “Given agricultural capacities of Armavir province and the know-how in East Azerbaijan, we are willing to invest in Armenia and expand bilateral cooperation in agriculture industry,” the governor general said, stressing the need for both parties to exchange expertise in development of the private sectors. Armavir governor Ashot Kaghramanyan, in turn, called for expansion of bilateral cooperation in trade, IRNA reported.
