European People’s Party chief hails free parliament polls in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leader of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), President Serzh Sargsyan met today, Nov 30 with the head of European People’s Party (EPP) Wilfried Martens.

The two men highly assessed the RPA-EPP cooperation, stressing the role of similar meetings in Armenia’s European integration path and strengthening of bilateral relations.

EPP president further noted 2012 as remarkable for conduction of free and fair parliamentary elections in Armenia, as well as RPA’s and Orinats Yerkir’s joining EPP.

Upcoming presidential elections in Armenia and development of cooperation in the framework of Eastern Partnership were further discussed.
