Armenian heroic epic on UNESCO session agendaDecember 3, 2012 - 15:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The seventh session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, chaired by Mr Arley Gill of Grenada, started today, Dec 3 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France. The agenda will include, among others, the debate on the 16 new periodic reports submitted by States Parties on their implementation of the Convention at the national level, the organization’s official website reported. The event will also feature a discussion on the inclusion of Armenian heroic epic “Daredevils of Sassoun” on UNESCO agenda. The session will run until December 7. As spokesperson for Armenian Ministry of Culture told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, first secretary of National Commission on UNESCO Krisitne Mehrabekyan and RA deputy culture minister Arev Samuelyan will represent Armenia at the session.
