Prosperous Armenia: new tensions detrimental to country’s future

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group member Vahan Babayan issued a statement on the party’s decision neither to nominate its candidate, nor support other presidential hopefuls at 2013 polls.

“The possible new shifts and the current tensions in the country may have drastic consequences for Armenian people and statehood. Prosperous Armenia has never attempted to cause public disagreements and split; we always put national interests first. Our party leader Gagik Tsarukyan is committed to bringing his programs and goals to fruition. Prosperous Armenia will continue contribute to solution to the existing problems. As an MP, I myself will further raise issues of public concern at National Assembly meetings. After all we have faith in our ability to build a prosperous country,” the statement reads.
