Armenia may extend peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Standing parliamentary committee on foreign relations held a sitting Monday, Dec 17 to discuss amendment to a NATO agreement on Armenian peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.

The amendment to the agreement, ratified by National Assembly on Dec 8, 2009, aims to extend Armenian peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan till Dec 31, 2014.

The committee approved inclusion of the issue in the upcoming parliamentary session agenda, National Assembly press service reported.
