Armenian education minister vows strict control during polls![]() January 14, 2013 - 17:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Ministry of Education and Science held a consultation on Jan 14, chaired by Minister Armen Ashotyan. “Public expectations and demands keep growing regardless of the achievements recorded in 2012,” Minister Ashotyan said, instructing to prepare 2013 events program based on education priorities for the current year and 2013-2014 anti-corruption plan. “Under RA law, education sector representatives are banned from pursuing political activity when under working obligations. A strict control will be established to prevent violations that may cast shadow on the conduction of transparent and fair elections in Armenia,” Minister Ashotyan said. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
