Death toll in Aleppo University blasts reaches 52 January 15, 2013 - 21:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - At least 52 people were killed and dozens wounded on Tuesday, January 15 in two explosions that rocked the university in Aleppo, Syria's biggest city, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, according to Reuters. Two explosions hit the university during the day while students were sitting exams. The cause of the explosions was not clear but the government and opposition activists blamed each other. The Observatory said in a statement that its death toll was based on reports from doctors and students.   Top stories Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million). The bill, published on Monday, is designed to "eliminate the shortcomings of an unreasonably broad interpretation of the key concept of "compatriot". The earthquake caused a temporary blackout, damaged many buildings and closed a number of rural roads.
