IPAP MAIN ENGINE OF PROMOTION OF ARMENIA-NATO FURTHER COOPERATION

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) will become the main engine of further expansion of Armenia's cooperation with the NATO and its efficient implementation will enhance the cooperation with the Alliance to a qualitatively new level. Armenian FM V. Oskanian stated at a news conference in Yerevan. "The first step of implementation of the Plan is Armenia working out and submitting the IPAP presentation document for consideration by the NATO Council," the Minister noted. In his words, the document, which was appreciated by the allies, reflects the goals and intentions of Armenia. "Specifically, in the document Armenia has stated its intention to hold regular consultations with the allies over foreign policy and security issues, as well as given the example of the allies and with their assistance and consultation reform and enhance the country defense system," V. Oskanian emphasized. The next step in the Armenian FM's words, will be the working out of the program of actions within the IPAP by NATO international officers along with interested departments of Armenia. "The Plan will indicate the measures necessary to implement each individual goal the presentation document contains, as well as the terms of their implementation. The working out of the Plan is scheduled to be completed within 5-6 months," the Armenian FM said, reported IA Regnum.
