ECONOMIC CONFERENCE UNDER OSCE AEGIS TO BE HELD IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - The visits to Yerevan and Baku proved soon resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Dimitrij Rupel stated during the meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Andranik Margaryan. However, according to him, there are some difficulties connected with the forthcoming parliamentary election in Azerbaijan. He noted he is aware of the recent developments in Armenia and gave a high estimate to the constitutional reform. In his words, it shows that Armenia is aspired to make its legislation meet European standards. During the meeting the parties expressed satisfaction with the activities of the OSCE Yerevan Office. Since 1992 a great number of programs have been launched in Armenia including struggle against corruption, elaboration of the Electoral Code, etc. A. Margaryan said Armenia is highly interested in conduction of Economic Conference dedicated to transport lines and security issues in 2006.
