Candidate Ghukasyan’s laboratory tests reveal health problems

PanARMENIAN.Net - Blood and urine tests of the Armenian presidential candidate Andrias Ghukasyan have revealed health problems.

According to Armenia’s ministry of healthcare, First Deputy Minister Hayk Darbinyan, concerned over the laboratory test results, earlier visited candidate Ghukasyan, urging him to undergo another medical examination.

Ghukasyan promised to announced about his decision later.

Andrias Ghukasyan went on hunger strike 23 days ago, demanding for the candidate of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Serzh Sargsyan to be disallowed to run for president.

7 candidates will run for the post of Armenian president: Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan, Heritage party chairman Raffi Hovannissian, leader of Freedom party, former prime minister Hrant Bagratyan, former foreign minister of Nagorno Karabakh Republic Arman Melikyan, National Self-Determination Union party head Paruyr Hayrikyan, Radio Hay director Andreas Ghukasyan and literature expert Vardan Sedrakyan.
