Armenia reports growth of trafficking and sexual assault cases

PanARMENIAN.Net - The number of crimes in Armenia decreased by 4% in 2012, Deputy Prosecutor General Mnatsakan Sargsyan said.

As it was noted during Feb 12 meeting of board of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Armenia reported 7.7% growth of offences against the person, with 19 cases of trafficking and rape recorded in 2012.

Military Prosecutor Gevorg Kostanyan and Prosecutor General of Nagorno Karabakh Republic attended the meeting, chaired by Armenian Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan.
