Well Go USA nabs “New World” Korean action thriller in Berlin

PanARMENIAN.Net - Well Go USA has acquired North American rights to Hoon-jung Park’s action thriller “New World” according to TheWrap. The distributor plans to open the movie in theaters in March in 15 North American markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Las Vegas, TheWrap said.

Park’s film stars Jung-jae Lee as a detective who goes undercover to infiltrate a massive Korean gang but becomes close with a member of the organization. He must decide between his boss and his new associate.

"New World is one of those rare gangster movies that keep you pinned to your seat,” Doris Pfardrescher, President of Well Go USA Entertainment, said in a statement. “The collection of talent is unparalleled and the combination of rich characters and a complex storyline will have people talking about it for years to come."

Finecut sold the North American rights in Berlin during the European Film Market.
