COCA-COLA FINED IN ARMENIA FOR ABUSE OF POSITION AT MARKET

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Commission for Defense of Economic Competition of Armenia has decided to fine Coca-Cola Company at the rate of 1% of its profit in 2004 ($100 thousand). The decision is made on the basis of abuse of the leading position in the market and complaints of Pepsi-Cola exclusive representative in Armenia - Jermuk Group Company. Coca-Cola specifically threatened to take away company refrigerators from trade points and stop its production supplies in case Pepsi-Cola produce is also sold there, reported IA Regnum.
