Raffi Hovannisian to dispute CEC decision

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian filed an appeal to the administrative court, urging to announce Feb 25 decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) invalid, Heritage board vice president said.

Raffi Hovannisian urges the CEC to include the costs of president-elect Serzh Sargsyan’s over 1600 election headquarters and posters in former candidate’s campaign expenses.

Earlier Raffi Hovannisian’s authorized representative Armen Martirosyan issued an appeal to the CEC, urging to announce Serzh Sargsyan’s candidacy invalid.

According to Martirosyan, 1600 election headquarters were set up for the conduction of Serzh Sargsayn election campaign, with 1600 posters distributed.

“Rental costs and propaganda posters that exceeded the permissible AMD 100 mln were not included in the declaration Serzh Sargsayn submitted to the CEC,” Martirosyan’s statement reads.

The appeal was rejected.
