President says UN Yerevan Office true partner of government

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met on April 5 with the newly-appointed UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Bradley Busetto.

President Sargsyan congratulated Mr Busetto on the appointment and voiced hope that he will give new impetus to Armenia-UN cooperation. He noted the celebration of the 20th anniversary of UN presence in Armenia as an opportunity to assess the programs UN Armenia office implemented in the past two decades, dubbing the UN Yerevan office as a true partner of RA government.

Dwelling on the future programs, with Mr Busetto noted the priorities Serzh Sargsyan listed in line with the UN goals. Upon completion of the meeting, he pledged to do the utmost to deepen Armenia-UN cooperation and foster the country’s democratic development.
