Armenian-Chinese relations discussed in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian acting Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with Chinese delegation led by Vice Minister of Civil Affairs Gu Zhaoxi.

“Armenia attaches special importance to relations with China. Our country stands ready to further deepen ties with China,” Mr. Sargsyan said.

Gu Zhaoxi, in turn, conveyed Chinese Prime Minister’s warm greetings, with the high-level of bilateral relations mutually stressed.

Acting Prime Minister Sargsyan expressed gratitude to the Chinese side on balanced position on Nagorno Karabakh issue. He further noted Chinese prime minister’s oncoming visit to Armenia as an impetus to the implementation of joint programs. In this context, the two men deemed cooperation in the agricultural, tourism and chemical industries as perspective fields in terms of development of bilateral ties.

Upon completion of the meeting, Mr. Sargsyan thanked Gu Zhaoxi for China’s humanitarian assistance to Armenia.
