CEC: Orinats Yerkir rep.’s candidacy for city council polls invalidApril 18, 2013 - 15:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Armenia announced the candidacy of Orinats Yerkir member Gurgen Vardanyan for Yerevan city council elections as invalid. Vardanyan earlier issued an application for withdrawal of candidacy. Prosperous Armenia party’s application, as well as the references of the six parties and one bloc of parties as to the contributions to campaign funds were in the focus of the discussion, CEC press service reported. Yerevan city council elections are due May 5, with 6 parties and one bloc running in the polls.
