The festival is dedicated to Georgian and Armenian composers, Vaja Azarashvili and Tigran Mansuryan. In 2013, Kashkashian won a Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo. In recent seasons, Kim Kashkashian has appeared as soloist with the major orchestras of New York, Berlin, London, Munich, and Tokyo.
