Czech MP: we must reap lessons to prevent reoccurrence of genocides

PanARMENIAN.Net - The delegation led by the head of the Standing Committee for European Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Bauer visited on April 18 the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.

The Czech MPs honored the memory of the genocide victims, visited the genocide museum-institute and familiarized themselves with the documents and the exhibits showcased.

MP Bauer further left a note in the memory book afterwards, “We can reap lessons from your tragic past.”

Asked as to the measures to be taken to prevent genocides, he said, “Czech Republic is an EU member-country and we address the issue. We must reap lessons to prevent reoccurrence of such crimes.”
