OSCE Has Important Role in Reforms in Armenia and Region

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian National Assembly Chairman Artur Baghdassaryan met with Belgian MFA Special Representative for Belgium's presidency at the OSCE in 2006, Senator Pierre Chevalier, reported the Press Service of the Armenian Parliament. At the instance of P. Chevalier, the Armenian Speaker informed the guest on the course of the constitutional and other reforms in Armenia, noting the important role of the OSCE in process of reforms in Armenian and the region. During Belgium's Presidency in the OSCE good opportunities for restoration of Kars-Gyumri-Tbilisi-Baku railway will be formed. The parties touched upon the NK issue as well. The interlocutors noted good opportunities for peaceful settlement are available and emphasized the importance of progress in the Armenian-Belgian relations.



It should be noted that the same day Armenian President R. Kocharian met with P. Chevalier. According to the Press Service of the Armenian leader, the interlocutors discussed the process and prospects of the NK settlement.
