Georgia offers Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad for NATO’s Afghan withdrawal

PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgia suggested that NATO transport goods from Afghanistan via Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad.

The statement was made by Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze at a NATO Ministerial.

“This particular railway section is the center of a joint project of the 3 countries, as confirmed by Turkish Foreign Minister. The suggestion may interest NATO, with the railway being the shortest and most preferential route for transportation of military cargo after the 2014 withdrawal of NATO forces from Afghanistan,” Georgia Online cited Panjikidze as saying.
