Israel Armenians: opening of evening school to help uphold national identity

PanARMENIAN.Net - Opening of an evening school is the greatest achievement of Ararat, the Union of Armenians of Israel, the press attaché of the Union said.

As Mendel Korsunski tolд PanARMENIAN.Net the evening school can help uphold national identity among Armenian children. “The school promotes native language study and national culture awareness, so that despite the distance, children don’t lose touch with their historic homeland.” Korsunski said.

As he noted, the project became possible through the efforts of a member of the Armenian community of Israel Knarik Gevorgyan, with Armenian Diaspora Ministry extending significant assistance by providing а school program and textbooks in Armenian.
