22,8% growth recorded in Armenia’s export volume in 2013

Armenia’s foreign trade turnover totaled $434.1 mln (AMD 180.7 bln) in April 2013 decreasing by 3% compared to the same period in 2012, according to updated statistical data.

Export amounted to $113mln (AMD 47 bln) in April 2013, increasing by 22,8%. The export index totaled $454.7 mln (AMD 186,9 bln) in Jan-April 2013, with 2.8% growth reported.

A 9,7% decrease was recorded in import bringing it to $ 321.1 mln (AMD 135.8 bln,) the RA National Statistical Service reported.

The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $838.9 mln (AMD 344.4 bln) in January-April 2013 compared with the same period in 2012.
