Armenia to join Eurimages Fund

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan met with Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni.

Minister Poghosyan attached importance to cooperation with the Council if Europe. Dwelling on the cultural events to be held during Armenia’s chairmanship in CoE Committee of Ministers, the minister said Strasbourg-hosted “Armenia. The Mysteries of Stones” exhibit marked the opening of the events.

The initiative of European Heritage Days due on August 30-September 1 in Armenia was further discussed, with Ms. Battaini-Dragoni voicing hope that the event will foster the preservation of cultural heritage in Armenia.

Minister Poghosyan, in turn, announced Armenia’s decision to join Eurimages Fund in 2014, which will significantly contribute to the exchange of experience among Armenian and European filmmakers.
