Minsk Group briefs OSCE chief on Karabakh settlement talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara, met the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassadors Igor Popov of the Russian Federation, Jacques Faure of France, and Ian Kelly of the United States, as well as the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk to discuss the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement.

At the meeting, the co-chairs briefed the OSCE chief on the progress of negotiations for the conflict settlement as well as the results of recent talks between Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers.

The parties also exchanged views on reasonability of changing the date of OSCE chair’s visit to Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The OSCE chief reiterated Ukraine’s readiness to promote the co-chairs efforts in the peaceful settlement of the conflict, stressing the latter as a key priority on the country’s chairmanship agenda, vchaspik.ua reported.
