Kamo Areyan appointed first deputy mayor of Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan city council held a special meeting on June 15, with Kamo Areyan appointed first deputy mayor by a vote of 63 to 58 and 5 abstentions.

Vahe Nikoyan and Aram Sukiasyan were appointed deputy mayors with the same number of votes. Davit Tonoyan also assumed the post of deputy mayor by a vote of 58 to 4. The staff of Yerevan municipality and heads of administrative districts was approved by a vote of 42 to 6, 16 abstentions.

The city council approved the constitution for Yerevan municipality and that of the heads of administrative districts, as well as Yerevan municipality staff’s civil registry charter.

Mayor Margaryan said the agenda was in line with RA law on “Yerevan city’s local authority.”
