Heritage MP divides parliament spring session into two parts

PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the Heritage parliamentary group Ruben Hakobyan divides the spring session of the Armenian National Assembly into two parts.

The first part, according to Hakobyan, coincided with the presidential election and Yerevan city council polls. “During this time, the parliament did not go into high gear,” he said.

The second part was remarkable for a number of issues, specifically the national budget approval and report on the implementation on the previous one, the MP said.

“Parliamentarism is gaining power at our National Assembly, although at a low pace,” he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Mr. Hakobyan voiced hope that one day the parliament will be a platform for debates but not curses. “People can have opposite opinions that can be presented properly but not through abusive language,” he said.
