NATO headquarters host ‘+Armenia’ format meeting

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimian and Deputy Defense Minister David Tonoyan had been visiting Brussels on June 24 through 25.

On Monday, June 24, NATO headquarters hosted a meeting of deputy ambassadors of the Alliance member states in a ‘+Armenia’ format.

The meeting focused on Armenia-NATO cooperation in the framework of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) for the years 2012-2013.

Tonoyan, in turn, focused on NATO assistance in implementation of reforms in Armenia’s Armed forces and Armenian peacekeepers participation in NATO programs.

On the sidelines of the visit, the officials met the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai, Foreign Ministry press service reported.
