Armenian Defense Minister: we can't be forced to compromise

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azeri President Ilham Aliyev’s bellicose statements at a Baku military parade were, above all, meant for the local public, Defense Minister said.

As Seyran Ohanyan noted during an air parade to mark the 21st anniversary of Armenia’s sky force, “Baku’s unilateral approach to Karabakh settlement negotiations forced Armenia to form a sky force. Azerbaijan demands compromise, but we cannot find ourselves in the same situation twice. We had already repelled an attack to defend Artsakh people and out border regions. Armenia supports peaceful settlement of the conflict, without a compromise.”

“There’s always a possibility for a new war in Karabakh, though a low one. So we’re getting ready every day, by increasing the Armenian army’s military skills,” Ohanyan said.
