Denmark to host 2014 Eurovision Song Contest May 6-10July 9, 2013 - 13:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - DR, the Danish national broadcaster has announced that the initial dates for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest have been changed from May 13, 15, 17 to May 6,8 and 10, 2014, Ectoday said. The 2014 Eurovision Song Contest Semifinals will be held on May 6 and 8, whilst the grand final will be held on 10 May. This decision has been taken by DR and EBU in order to suit and fit the schedules of the bidding cities : Herning , Copenhagen and Horsens. Denmark won the right to host the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest when Emmelie De Forest triumphed at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with Only Teardrops, bringing back the grand prix to Danish soil for the 3rd time. A total of 3 cities along with 4 venues are bidding to host the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark next year. DR is yet to announce its decision on the host city. DR and the EBU will evaluate all bids and proposals and an announcement regarding the host city is expected during the summer or by early autumn.
