Energy Ministry Didn't Confirm Information on Conveyance of Iran-Armenia Gas Pipeline to Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Ministry of Energy did not furnish Haykakan Jamanak daily with information on conveyance of the 5th block of the Hrazdan Heat Power Plant and Iran-Armenia gas pipeline to Russia, RA Energy Ministry's Spokesman Lusine Harutyunyan told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. In her words, presently Gazprom and Armenia are negotiating on the price for Russian gas imported to the republic. "The information on the agreement achieved will be furnished upon completion of the talks," she said.



To note, Haykakan Jamanak with a reference to an authority wrote that Russia and Armenia signed an agreement on the conveyance of the Hrazdan Heat Power Plant and Iran-Armenia gas pipeline to Russia. According to the daily the 5th block will be sold for $250 million what will allow to purchase Russian gas with lowered tariffs during next 2.5 years.



To remind, gas is pumped to Armenia at the price of $56 for 1000 cubic meters. However the from April 1 the price will make $110.
