Coldplay to get Hollywood Film Award for “Hunger Games” song

PanARMENIAN.Net - Coldplay are to receive a gong at this year's Hollywood Film Awards, Digital Spy said.

The British band will be honoured with the 'Hollywood Song Award' at the 17th annual event for their track 'Atlas'.

Chris Martin will accept the award on behalf of the band on October 21 at the Beverly Hilton in California, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

'Atlas' is taken from the upcoming Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire.

Coldplay will also perform the song live at the awards ceremony later this month.

Other award winners that have already been confirmed include 12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen and supporting actress Lupita Nyong'o, 42 supporting actor Harrison Ford and August: Osage County supporting actress Julia Roberts.

Before Midnight has also received awards for lead actress/co-screenwriter Julie Delpy, lead actor/co-screenwriter Ethan Hawke and co-screenwriter/director Richard Linklater.

Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto, Sandra Bullock, Michael B Jordan, Lee Daniels, David Oyelowo and Jake Gyllenhaal will be honoured as well.
